If you love intense military dramas packed with explosive missions, emotional sacrifices and unforgettable characters, SEAL Team deserves a place on your watchlist. The action-packed series follows an elite unit of US Navy SEALs as they undertake some of the most dangerous operations in the world while struggling to keep their personal lives from falling apart.
At the centre of the story is Jason Hayes, played by David Boreanaz, the experienced and respected leader of Bravo Team. Known for his exceptional instincts and unwavering commitment to his men, Jason faces enormous pressure as he leads his team into life-threatening situations. But the demands of military service come at a steep personal cost, affecting his relationships, his family and his own mental well-being.
His trusted second-in-command, Ray Perry, portrayed by Neil Brown Jr., provides a steady presence when the pressure becomes overwhelming. Meanwhile, Sonny Quinn, played by A.J. Buckley, brings fierce loyalty and a complicated personality to the team. Clay Spenser, portrayed by Max Thieriot, begins as an ambitious young operator determined to prove himself among the best.
Together, the men develop a bond that goes far beyond their military responsibilities. They depend on one another for survival, but the emotional consequences of their work follow them home long after each mission ends.
The series also explores the experiences of the people supporting the team, including intelligence analyst Mandy Ellis and officer Lisa Davis. Their stories reveal that military service affects not only those deployed overseas but also the families and colleagues who live with constant uncertainty.
Originally premiering in 2017, SEAL Team ran for seven seasons and concluded in October 2024, with 114 episodes in total. The series combines high-stakes action with character-driven storytelling, exploring themes of loyalty, trauma, sacrifice and the difficult transition between life on the battlefield and life at home.
For viewers seeking more than just action sequences, SEAL Team offers an emotional look at the human cost of being an elite soldier — and the brotherhood that helps these men keep going when everything is on the line.
