Jack Osbourne Says Script for Ozzy Biopic Is ‘Done’ and They Already Have an Actor in Mind ? Is It Yungblud

Jack Osbourne has revealed that the long-awaited biopic about his late father, Ozzy Osbourne, has taken another major step forward, with the script now completed and an actor already in mind for the lead role. However, Jack has not publicly revealed the actor’s identity.

The announcement has immediately sparked speculation among fans about who could portray the legendary Black Sabbath frontman. One name that has repeatedly emerged in fan discussions is Yungblud.

The connection is not entirely surprising. Yungblud had a close relationship with Ozzy in the final years of his life and performed a major tribute to him at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards alongside Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and Nuno Bettencourt.

Yungblud also appeared alongside Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne in the music video for his 2022 song The Funeral, giving the two artists an established connection that has made the casting theory particularly appealing to fans.

Some fans have therefore begun suggesting that Yungblud could be the mystery actor Jack was referring to. However, there is currently no confirmation from Jack Osbourne, Yungblud or the filmmakers that he has been cast.

Jack has previously described the actor connected to the project as a “phenomenal” performer, while the family has stressed that the film will focus heavily on Ozzy and Sharon’s relationship and their family life.

The biopic has been in development for years, with Sony first announcing the project in 2021. Now that the script is reportedly finished, the film appears to be moving closer to production.

For fans, the mystery surrounding the lead actor is only adding to the excitement. And while Yungblud remains purely a fan theory for now, his history with Ozzy has made him one of the names attracting attention online.
