Brendan Fraser’s acclaimed historical thriller Pressure is preparing to reach a much bigger audience, with the gripping 100-minute film officially set to arrive on Netflix US on November 30, 2026. After its theatrical release earlier this year and subsequent streaming debut on Peacock, the World War II drama is getting another opportunity to find viewers who may have missed it the first time around.
Directed by Anthony Maras, Pressure takes audiences into the tense 72 hours before the Allied invasion of Normandy in June 1944. But unlike traditional war movies filled with battlefield action, this story builds its suspense around a decision that could change the course of history: whether the weather will allow the D-Day operation to proceed.
Fraser portrays General Dwight D. Eisenhower, the Allied commander responsible for making the enormous decision. Andrew Scott stars as British meteorologist James Stagg, whose forecasts could determine when the invasion takes place. Meanwhile, Chris Messina plays American meteorologist Colonel Irving Krick, whose competing predictions add another layer of uncertainty to an already difficult situation.
The cast also features Kerry Condon as Captain Kay Summersby and Damian Lewis as Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery.
Adapted from David Haig’s acclaimed stage play, the film transforms weather forecasting into a tense battle of judgment, competing opinions and immense responsibility. Instead of relying on large-scale combat sequences, it keeps the focus on the people behind the historic decision and the pressure surrounding them.
With a runtime of just 100 minutes, Pressure offers a compact, character-driven alternative to conventional World War II epics. Its arrival on Netflix could introduce Fraser’s latest historical performance to an entirely new audience.
The film will begin streaming on Netflix US on November 30, 2026. International release dates may vary.
