Chris Pratt reprises his role as Navy SEAL Commander James Reece in the action series, The Terminal List
© Justin Lubin/PrimeAfter a four-year break, the action thriller The Terminal List has finally made its return, with new episodes arriving on Prime Video this week. Audiences have already been diving into the latest installment of the hit series.
The eight-episode season brings Chris Pratt back as James Reece, a Navy SEAL Commander who finds himself investigating an international conspiracy connected to his own family history.
The long-awaited comeback had plenty to live up to, with fans waiting more than four years to see what came next. During that time, the franchise has attracted over 100 million viewers worldwide, gaining further momentum with the arrival of its prequel, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, in August last year.
So, has the second season lived up to the hype? Here’s how viewers have reacted to the new episodes.
Inside The Story Behind The Terminal List
Adapted from the bestselling book series, The Terminal List follows Navy SEAL Commander James Reece as he confronts mysterious forces plotting to disrupt the global order.
Season two draws inspiration from Jack Carr’s second novel, True Believer. The story sees James Reece searching for “violent redemption, finding a new purpose after finishing his list”.
The official synopsis promises a broader story this time around: “The psychological revenge thriller of Season One opens up into a globe-trotting espionage thriller taking Reece across the Indian Ocean, Southern and Northern Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Reece will uncover a conspiracy that reaches from Moscow to Langley and ties into his own family’s history.”
Fans Are Sharing Their Verdict On The New Episodes
Early reactions suggest the second season has made a strong impression. One viewer took to social media to call it “absolute perfection,” while expressing frustration over the lengthy gap between seasons.
“We need more show series like this!! The only thing I hated is how long I had to wait for this season after season 1. This show is Chris Pratt’s best work and that’s saying a lot! Must Watch!!”
Another viewer praised the latest episodes, writing: “The new season of #TerminalList is so good! @prattprattpratt is killing it. @JackCarrUSA wrote some good stuff with book 2,”
A third fan also gave the series top marks after finishing the season, posting: “Finished watching Season 2 of @TerminalListPV and JackCarrUSA and Chris Pratt continue to not disappoint! 10/10 best series on @PrimeVideo.”
Which Actors Have Returned For The Terminal List Season 2?
Chris Pratt is joined by several familiar faces from the first season. Tom Hopper returns as Raife Hastings, alongside Constance Wu as Katie Buranek, Dar Salim as Mohammed Farooq and Luke Hemsworth as Jules Landry.
Meanwhile, newcomers include Gabriel Luna as Freddy Strain.
