Survivor host Jeff Probst has faced countless dramatic Tribal Councils, but his latest challenge takes him into the unpredictable world of The Simpsons. In the animated series’ 2026 Halloween special, Probst becomes Marge Simpson’s unexpected dream husband in a bizarre romantic storyline filled with supernatural transformations, relationship drama and a familiar Survivor-style twist.
The first segment of “Treehouse of Horror XXXVII,” titled “Bride’s Shed Revisited,” appears to draw inspiration from Holly Gramazio’s novel The Husbands, which follows a woman whose attic magically produces an endless succession of potential husbands.
In this version, Marge, voiced by Julie Kavner, discovers that a mysterious shed can transform her marriage into a revolving door of romantic possibilities. Eventually, she finds herself with Probst, who brings his trademark laid-back charm to the role — along with a rather memorable tribute to his new bride.

Marge Discovers a Magical Way to Change Husbands
The story begins during the early years of Homer and Marge’s marriage, seemingly before their children arrive. After Homer fails to build Marge a shed as promised for their first wedding anniversary, she decides to construct it herself.
An argument sends Homer into the shed, where something extraordinary happens: He emerges transformed into Lenny, voiced by Harry Shearer.
The change extends beyond Homer’s appearance. Marge suddenly has a different husband, a new house and wedding photographs reflecting her altered reality. When another trip through the shed transforms Lenny into Chief Wiggum, voiced by Hank Azaria, Marge realizes that something unusual is happening.
Her best friend, played by guest star Tiffany Haddish, explains that Marge has effectively won the romantic lottery. She can replace her husband whenever she wants, opening the door to a succession of increasingly unexpected matches.
Marge takes full advantage of the opportunity, cycling through Ned Flanders, Captain McCallister, Kang and Kodos, Principal Skinner, Moe and Comic Book Guy before finally finding her dream match.

Jeff Probst Becomes Marge’s Dream Husband
Enter Jeff Probst, who becomes one of Marge’s most memorable romantic upgrades. The Survivor host is portrayed as a devoted husband, complete with a large tribal-style tattoo of Marge across his chest.
However, even Probst’s charm cannot guarantee a lasting marriage. His relationship with Marge begins to unravel when she spots her former husband Homer with Lunchlady Dora, voiced by Tress MacNeille.
During a “merging of the tribes” moment with Probst, Marge accidentally calls out Homer’s name. The slip leaves her current husband heartbroken, and he runs away.
Hoping to repair the damage, Marge sends Probst into the “Shed of Destiny” to cast his vote. But instead of returning, he is replaced by Hans Moleman.
In classic Survivor fashion, Probst’s time in the game is over. His torch has officially been snuffed.
Homer and Marge Find Their Way Back to Each Other
Determined to reunite with Homer, Marge eventually takes him hostage with a shotgun and forces him into the shed. Once together again, the pair discover that Homer has experienced his own strange romantic adventures.
His list of marriages includes Helen Lovejoy, Lunchlady Dora, Crazy Cat Lady and, in a final unexpected twist, Jeff Probst himself.
With Homer and Marge reunited, their relationship appears to return to normal. However, the Halloween special has one more disturbing surprise: Their sons, Rod and Todd, prepare to punish their parents for their perceived sins, armed with shotguns.
The episode also continues The Simpsons’ tradition of playful Halloween credits. Probst receives the unusual billing “Jeff ‘The Tribe Has Spookin’ Probst,” adding another layer of Survivor-inspired humor to his animated appearance.
With its supernatural premise, rotating husbands and reality-TV references, “Bride’s Shed Revisited” gives Probst an unconventional role in the long-running animated series — one where surviving marriage proves just as unpredictable as surviving Tribal Council.
The Simpsons’ “Treehouse of Horror XXXVII” begins streaming on Hulu on October 26, 2026.
