Eloise Bridgerton Is Finally Getting Her Own Love Story — After Watching Everyone Around Her Find Romance, Claudia Jessie’s Beloved Character Is Set To Take Center Stage In ‘Bridgerton’ Season 6, But Her Biggest Transformation May Be Just Beginning

Everything We Know About Eloise Leading 'Bridgerton' Season 6

Eloise Bridgerton’s long-awaited love story is finally moving closer to the spotlight.

Netflix has confirmed that Bridgerton will continue beyond Season 5 with a sixth season, and showrunner Jess Brownell has previously identified Eloise Bridgerton and Francesca Bridgerton as the characters whose stories will headline Seasons 5 and 6. Brownell confirmed that both characters would receive their own seasons, although the order was initially kept secret.

That mystery has now become much easier to solve.

With Netflix officially confirming that Season 5 will center on Francesca and Michaela, Eloise is positioned to take the leading role in Season 6. The upcoming fifth season is currently in production and is scheduled to premiere in 2027, with Hannah Dodd and Masali Baduza leading the new romance.

For fans of Claudia Jessie’s Eloise, the development has been a long time coming.

Bridgerton' Showrunner Confirms Who Will Lead Seasons 5 and 6

Since the first season, Eloise has stood apart from many of her siblings. While the Bridgerton family repeatedly finds itself caught up in courtship, marriage and scandal, Eloise has often questioned whether marriage is really the future she wants.

She has been more interested in books, intellectual conversations and discovering the world beyond the narrow expectations placed on women in the ton. Netflix describes her as outspoken and intensely curious, with a strong awareness of the different freedoms available to men and women in Regency society.

That makes her eventual romance particularly intriguing.

Eloise has spent much of the series observing the romantic adventures of those around her rather than embracing one herself. She has experienced flirtation, friendship and emotional complications, but she has remained resistant to the idea that her life should revolve around finding a husband.

Season 4 pushed that resistance even further.

After returning from Scotland, Eloise told Penelope that she was “on the shelf” and intended to become a spinster. Yet the season also revealed another side of her character. She encouraged Hyacinth to believe in love after John Stirling’s death, reminding her younger sister that the Bridgerton family itself exists because of the love between their parents.

That contradiction could become central to her own story.

Eloise may question romance for herself while still recognizing its importance for others. Season 6 could therefore mark a major change in how she views love, independence and the future she actually wants.

Meanwhile, Season 5 will first turn the attention toward Francesca and Michaela. Netflix has described their story as a major milestone for the series, with the season exploring their growing feelings and the challenges surrounding Francesca’s return to the marriage mart.

Once their story takes center stage, the door will finally be open for Eloise.

After years of watching her siblings find love, the sharp-tongued Bridgerton daughter may finally have to confront the one subject she has spent so much time avoiding.

Eloise’s season is coming — and it could completely change the way fans see her.
